Let’s get to know Rachel a little more –

Q: What’s the best part of your job/Hireforce?

A: The best part of my job is the Hireforce team!  I’m grateful to have such positive, motivated team members who truly embody our company values and align with our vision.

Q: What’s the best way you start the day?

A: I have a newborn now so my schedule has changed a bit, but I normally like to start my day with a 10 minute daily Calm meditation, taking my dog, Storm, for a short walk and taking a quick peloton class.  It’s a lot to fit in but I find that it makes a big difference!

Q: What do you wish you knew more about?

A: A topic that I’m currently learning about is early childhood brain development.  It’s fascinating that the in utero experience impacts the baby’s brain… everything from resilience to mental health.

Q: Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?

A: I love to travel.  A unique place that I visited a little over a year ago is Komodo National Park in East Indonesia.  The komodo dragons were incredible!  We also visited an island where hundreds of thousands of flying foxes fly from one island to another at sunset to hunt for prey.  The area is also great for diving and snorkeling.

Q: What have you been doing to keep yourself busy during this shelter-in-place?

A: I was busy preparing for the birth of my first child, Juliana Victoria Saks!  She was born on May 15th.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Salesforce?

A: The Salesforce community as a whole.  It’s an inclusive group of bright individuals who are passionate about their work and really embrace the community aspect by helping each other.

Q: What’s your favorite Cloud?

A: Sales Cloud Einstein

Q: Who is your favorite MVP?

A: David Liu!  David has an inspiring story as he started his career in marketing then taught himself how to code and is now a Technical Architect at Google.  David is the creator of SFDC99 and adds tremendous value to the Salesforce ecosystem.  I call him Mr. Salesforce!

Q: Favorite trailhead character?

A: Koa!
